ABOUT ME
I am an assistant professor in the University of Washington's Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, with expertise in structural and solid mechanics. My research investigates architected materials and reconfigurable structures with innovative mechanical and dynamic properties.
Prior to joining UW, I was a postdoc with Dennis Kochmann at ETH Zurich, focusing on wave propagation in truss metamaterials. I did my PhD with Sergio Pellegrino at Caltech, studying the mechanics and geometric design of origami-inspired structures.
